Medical care is widely available. Here are some addresses and information. You should obtain a E 111 certificate from the National Insurance in the UK before you come and start your holiday on the island. This certificate entitles you to treatment at the Centro Salud (health centre), which is run by the Spanish state health system. It is recommended to take out health insurance that covers treatment abroad if you prefer to be treated privately. Such insurance usually does not cost much and covers even the costs for any return transport should that become necessary.

PHARMACIES

Pharmacies are indicated by a green Maltese Cross. Pharmacies are widely available in the main towns. Please send us an email with the name, description and ingredients of your medication if you require special medication but are unable to take a sufficient amount with you. We will obtain information about what is available here on the island.
