Weather on Lanzarote
The weather is always the main subject when it comes to choosing the right holiday destination. One thing is for sure, it does not matter how "bad" the weather is, we moan about the weather even if the temperatures in our home countries are far lower. Even if you are unlucky enough to come during a cold and bad winter, then you should not forget that we are still talking about temperatures of around 17 - 20 degrees and only occasional rain, which usually doesn't last very long because it gets blown away by the wind.
The climate here is usually well balanced and is preferred by allergy, neurodermatitis and psoriasis sufferers and asthmatics. It is not too cold in winter and there are only two weeks in summer when it gets really hot. This is also the reason why the Canary Islands are also known as the Islands of Eternal Spring.
A good page about the weather on Lanzarote is lanzarotewetter.com. Here you will find information about the current weather and the forecast for the following 5 days.
Another good website, also available as app for your iPhone or similar touch phones, for the location of Lanzarote is, for example, this one:
windguru - I have yet to find a website with better forecast information. The information on the forecast page is refreshed every three hours and it provides you with a clear overview about the development of the weather conditions. I don't remember a single occasion when the forecast on those pages was inaccurate. A must for all water sports fans worldwide -and it is free of charge.
